Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Business Systems to lead the strategy, governance, and ongoing evolution of the organization’s enterprise business applications.
This leadership role will oversee the technology roadmap for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and the broader business applications ecosystem, ensuring systems support the company’s operational goals, continued growth, and digital transformation initiatives. Working closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders, you’ll identify opportunities to improve processes, modernize technology, and leverage data to drive better business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Business Systems Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute enterprise business systems strategy and long-term technology roadmap.
- Serve as the business owner for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related business applications.
- Partner with executive leadership to align technology investments with organizational priorities and business objectives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, and AI solutions, to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
ERP & Enterprise Applications
- Lead the ongoing optimization, enhancement, and governance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Prioritize system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure enterprise applications support finance, operations, supply chain, project management, and other critical business functions.
- Establish best practices for system administration, security, data governance, and user adoption.
Digital Transformation & Integrations
- Lead enterprise application integration initiatives across ERP, CRM, HRIS, reporting, and other business platforms.
- Oversee relationships with Microsoft partners, software vendors, and implementation consultants.
- Drive reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities that enable data-driven decision-making.
- Support acquisition integration activities by developing scalable business systems and standardized operating processes.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop Business Systems Analysts, ERP Administrators, and external consulting partners.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Provide executive updates on technology initiatives, project status, risks, and strategic recommendations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience leading ERP, enterprise applications, or business systems initiatives.
- 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
- Proven experience developing business systems strategies that improve operational performance and support organizational growth.
- Strong understanding of finance, supply chain, inventory management, project accounting, and operational business processes.
- Experience managing enterprise software implementations, upgrades, integrations, and vendor relationships.
- Experience leading cross-functional technology initiatives involving executive stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting organizations with multiple business units, acquisitions, or complex operational environments preferred.

- Concur, UKG, HighRadius, ProjectPro, Vision360, or similar enterprise applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications related to Business Central, Power Platform, or Azure
- Experience leading digital transformation initiatives within a mid-market or enterprise organization
- Familiarity with Agile project delivery methodologies and change management best practices
