Overview
Our client is seeking a visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the organization’s enterprise technology strategy and drive digital transformation across the business.
As a member of the executive leadership team, the CIO will develop and execute a technology vision that supports the company’s long-term growth, operational excellence, and innovation objectives. This role is responsible for overseeing enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and analytics, AI initiatives, and technology operations while ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value.
The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with a strong understanding of enterprise business systems and has a proven track record of leading high-performing technology organizations through growth, modernization, and change.
Responsibilities
Executive Leadership
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on technology investments, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and innovation.
- Develop and execute the organization’s enterprise technology strategy and multi-year IT roadmap.
- Align technology initiatives with corporate objectives, operational priorities, and long-term business growth.
- Build a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the technology organization.
Technology Strategy & Operations
- Provide executive leadership for enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, data and analytics, AI, and end-user technology.
- Oversee the organization’s Microsoft technology ecosystem, including Dynamics 365 Business Central, Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, and emerging AI solutions.
- Establish governance, security, architecture, and operational standards across the enterprise technology landscape.
- Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance programs remain effective and scalable.
Digital Transformation
- Lead enterprise modernization initiatives focused on automation, cloud adoption, AI, analytics, and business process optimization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI, to improve productivity and create competitive advantage.
- Drive enterprise application strategy, integrations, and technology standardization across business functions.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and organizational growth through scalable technology integration strategies.
Leadership & Financial Management
- Lead and develop technology leadership across Enterprise Applications, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data & Analytics, and IT Operations.
- Oversee technology budgets, vendor relationships, software licensing, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Establish KPIs and operational metrics that measure technology performance, service delivery, cybersecurity, and business outcomes.
- Build strong partnerships with executive leadership, business unit leaders, customers, and external technology partners.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including senior leadership roles within enterprise IT or business technology.
- Proven experience developing and executing enterprise technology strategies that support business growth and operational excellence.
- Experience leading enterprise applications, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data platforms, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of ERP platforms, enterprise integrations, business intelligence, and modern cloud technologies.
- Experience leading technology organizations through acquisitions, large-scale system implementations, or organizational transformation.
- Demonstrated success managing executive stakeholders, enterprise technology budgets, and strategic vendor relationships.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to influence at the executive and board levels.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Microsoft, Azure, cybersecurity, or enterprise architecture certifications are a plus.
- Experience leading digital transformation initiatives within a multi-site, mid-market, or enterprise organization.
