Overview
Our client, a Microsoft Solutions Partner, is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant to deliver enterprise finance transformation initiatives using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance.
In this client-facing consulting role, you will partner with finance leaders, controllers, accounting teams, and executive stakeholders to design and implement scalable financial solutions that improve operational efficiency, strengthen financial controls, and support business growth. You will work closely with Solution Architects, Technical Consultants, Project Managers, and client stakeholders throughout every phase of the implementation lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops and business process assessments with finance and business stakeholders
- Gather, analyze, and document functional and business requirements
- Design and configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance solutions aligned with client business objectives
- Advise clients on Microsoft best practices, standard application functionality, and financial process improvements
- Prepare functional design documentation and collaborate with technical consultants throughout solution delivery
- Lead conference room pilots, user acceptance testing, and end-user training
- Support data migration, cutover planning, go-live, and post-production stabilization
- Identify opportunities to improve financial operations, reporting, internal controls, and system adoption
- Communicate project risks, recommendations, and implementation decisions to client stakeholders and project leadership
Qualifications
- Experience delivering at least two full lifecycle Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance implementations
- Experience leading discovery workshops, solution design, configuration, testing, and user training
- Strong understanding of financial operations, accounting principles, financial reporting, and ERP best practices
- Experience configuring standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance functionality
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable financial solutions
- Strong client-facing communication, presentation, and consulting skills
- Experience working for a Microsoft Partner, ERP consulting firm, or professional services organization

Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate
- Experience implementing Dynamics 365 Finance as part of an integrated Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management solution
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, and Microsoft Dataverse
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Lifecycle Services (LCS), Electronic Reporting (ER), Dual-write, and Data Management Framework (DMF)
- CPA designation or prior accounting and finance experience is a plus
- Experience supporting enterprise, multi-company, multi-legal entity, or global Dynamics 365 Finance implementations
